Later than some......
It was arriving in Spain, a country of such vibrancy and colour. To then travel through Europe and view and be inspired by such masters as Picasso, Monet, Matisse and Miro. When I came back to Australia I began painting, first in water colours and more recently in acrylics.
Last year I went to Antibes and had lessons from a marvellous teacher who told me to keep painting. He said my colours were French.
This year (2008) I went to The Victorian Arts summer school and became more determined to pursue my career as an artist. Later this year I am going to France again to have further lessons IN a week I will usually do at least 12 paintings.
Right now, I am at university doing a single elective in painting. I find this course challenging and fulfilling.
My aim is to sell my art on the web; this will make my paintings affordable.
In 2009 my aim is to have a small showing of my work and in 2010, my first major exhibition.
