Where did my journey begin?
Later than some......
It was arriving in Spain, a country of such vibrancy and colour. To then travel through Europe and view and be inspired by such masters as Picasso, Monet, Matisse and Miro. When I came back to Australia I began painting, first in water colours and more recently in acrylics and oils.
In 2007 I went to Antibes and had lessons from a marvelous teacher who told me to keep painting. He said my colours were French.
In 2008 I again traveled to France again to have further lessons.
Also in 2008 I enrolled into a single Painting elective at Melbourne's RMIT University. I am pleased to say I passed the subject and was fortunate to receive a High Distinction. This support , learning, experience and encouragement I received at RMIT is something I am very grateful for.
In 2009 I had my first 'mini' exhibitions in some commercial establishments around Melbourne.
A great commercial learning curve!
Currently in 2010 I am working on around 4 paintings a week.
In 2010 my aim is to have more small showings for my work and in 2010, my first major exhibition in 2011.
I hope you will look at my paintings and see something that fires your imagination
Sincerely, Carol Hill

Where is Bordeaux France Click Here:
On my recent painting trip to Bordeaux France I met and painted with other artists from around world all in Bordeaux . The highlight was painting a large canvas abstract using lovely colours and impresionist style which fitted in with what other painters were painting.
Up at 6am every day and having breakfast at 8.30 am . Then painting till 2pm and resuming at 3pm going thru till 8. 30pm. It was just great and I would recommend to fellow artists looking for a painting holiday.
I then went to the Carribean and met a resident artist Annie from New York and had some lessons from her on an Island called St Barths another really lovely setting to paint.
Now I am back in my studio with alot of inspiration to do more paintings .
