New Paintings to be added to the Gallery Shortly
- By Carol Hill
- Published 01/12/2009
Happy New Year to everybody.I have some new paintings to be added to the online gallery shortly-they are all different styles.
Two are on canvas and modern .
The other 3 women are on paper .
I have others in various stages of completion many different colors and styles.
Two of these works in progress have added contrast of painters putty on canvas in an abstract style. Being a fan of Picasso I have done several in a similar style vain but with my style mixed in of course.
After my recents travels to the the US and Caribbean seem to be impacting on some of the works. When my latest pieces become available online shortly I think regular readers will notice a new brightness to my paintings.
The color flavors to my work changes, much the same as the 4 seasons of the year.
Painting in France during holidays 2008

Where is Bordeaux France Click Here:
On my recent painting trip to Bordeaux France I met and painted with other artists from around world all in Bordeaux . The highlight was painting a large canvas abstract using lovely colours and impresionist style which fitted in with what other painters were painting.
Up at 6am every day and having breakfast at 8.30 am . Then painting till 2pm and resuming at 3pm going thru till 8. 30pm. It was just great and I would recommend to fellow artists looking for a painting holiday.
I then went to the Carribean and met a resident artist Annie from New York and had some lessons from her on an Island called St Barths another really lovely setting to paint.
Now I am back in my studio with alot of inspiration to do more paintings .

Hi My name is Dean and I have been a friend of Carols for many years now. I am very excited to see how her art is progressing.
As a hairdresser I can relate to color and texture and have dabbled a little with painting , actually many undiscovered masterpieces hang around our house.
Carol has asked me to name my favorite painting which is Chatterton by Henry Wallis painted in 1856. It hangs in the Tate in London. (attached below)
I wish Carol all the best with her painting future.
