The main reason people get interested in knitting is that they like all the yarns that are available to play with.

To me there is nothing more exciting than starting a new project. You pick your pattern then off to the store to find the perfect yarn. It's so exciting to envision the finished product. Unfortunately things don't always go as planned. Once you start to work the yarn it just doesn't look right.

There are many brands and types of polymer clay available, each with its own unique set of strengths and weaknesses. When choosing material the number of options may seem a little overwhelming. Well, let's make it easier. While each project and crafter is different, your choice really comes down to two things; strength and color.

Okay so we've all been there. You run out to you favorite craft store planning to pick up just a few little things to put the finishing touches on your project and then BAM! The next thing you know your bank account has taken a shocking hit while you walk out with a bag perfectly sized for a greeting card. I know, I've been there, and it's tragic.

Cold porcelain is a relatively new craft phenomenon. It started about 30 years ago in South America and since then has grown rapidly in both popularity and availability. The quality of the clay has improved drastically in that time to have an amazingly smooth soft texture. It is perfect for sculpting very delicate pieces such as flowers and other plants.
